Two designs, the question they actually answer, and the reason they are not substitutes.
- CurrentWork spends energy. Stake can be taken away.Bitcoin's paper uses proof of work. Ouroboros uses a snapshot of stake. The security claim is different, and so is the thing that fails.
- CurrentA reserve and a reflexive token are not the same peg.One depends on assets held apart from the token. The other depends on a market for a sibling token.
- CurrentCosmos and Polkadot do not solve the same problem.One lets each chain keep its own validator set. The other offers a relay that checks many chains. Interoperability is not one product.
