Method

What was checked, and what was not.

A corpus record is a bibliographic object plus Blockchain Lab's own sentences. It becomes a transcription only when a licence is on file. That has not happened for these documents.

  1. The ten exemplars were matched to files or studies the site already had. Corda, Filecoin's 2014 sketch, and the yellow paper are not treated as the same document as a nearby paper.
  2. The Bitcoin hash is the SHA-256 of the PDF fetched from bitcoin.org on 1 October 2026. No other hash is published, because the other bytes are not in this build.
  3. Author lists for historic files follow the old library note unless a publisher page was checked for this release. Where the bytes were not re-opened, the record says so.
  4. Studies stay canonical at their existing URLs. The corpus page points at them instead of pasting a second essay.
  5. Comparison refuses invented throughput, yield, and solvency figures. Terra is labelled a failure case. Tether's reserves are not described.
  6. The JSON API returns the catalogue only. full_text is null. licence is null.

Dataset: the catalogue itself, not the papers. Download it at /api/v1/papers. Metadata only. Paper text is not included. Attribute Blockchain Lab if you republish this catalogue. The catalogue is not a licence to the papers.
